Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are all having a relaxing day before the week ahead.
I wanted to share my latest beauty purchase with you all. I'm not one to get excited about nail varnishes, in fact, I'm really fussy when it comes to colours and don't purchase them on a whim. It is often a combination of price, size of the bottle and the chip factor that puts me off. I enjoy nudes and dark colours rather than bright candy colours but often struggle to find a chip resistant nail polish without having to coat it in a clear polish after the application - that's just too much work for me!
However, i was browsing brands in my local Boots store and spotted Loreal's new "Boudoir Rose" polish from afar. It was sitting with two other nude colours but I liked number 204 the best. I made a point of going round all the other brands and comparing the colour to other nudes in all the ranges and couldn't find anything that was like it. All other nude pinks were a lot more pinky and the pigmentation was not as deep and nude like - My only gripe was the size of the bottle - It is pretty small for the price (£4.99) and you can spend less and get a much bigger bottle from some other brands. That said, the colour bowled me over (for a change), no other brand offered something identical, so I went for it.
I have had it on now for almost 3 days (without a clear coat) and it has still not chipped (shock horror) - maybe that had something to do with the price. I also only had to apply one coat to get the colour in the photograph.
Loreal's "Boudoir Rose" is certainly my new favourite nail product in my own boudoir.
